You will note that all of the Committee come from English Midland Counties.
This is not intentional and not mandatory. The committee meets rarely but does discuss issues by letter, telephone or email. Members of the Committee are extremely sensitive to Unit concerns and outside issues that may affect The Association.
If you have the time, skills and experience, you are extremely welcome to join the Committee where you may not immediately be given a job, but in time you may be asked to assist or understudy a role. Equally, roles may become too much for one person and in that case you can help.
In addition to Committee membership there are other ways you can help:
- Carry out research into dormant HSF Units and names which appear on the internet.
- Communication with Regiments and Corps keeping them up to date with HSFA activity.
- Organising or assisting with reunions, some of which might be regional and based upon existing commercial events.
- Acting as a regional coordinator, supporting Units and perhaps visiting their meetings.
